Lactation Consultation
A typical lactation consultation with Tina lasts between one and two hours, depending on your personal goals and your baby’s needs. Home visits are not timed, but office visits are charged at an hourly rate. See rates below.
This visit includes a full health history of both mother and baby including any surgeries, medications, screening for possible abnormalities of anatomy or physiology that may play a role in the breastfeeding dynamic.
The lactation consultation also includes gentle hands-on assistance with latch and feeding, as well as a Written Care Plan tailored especially to meet the unique needs of you and your baby.
Home Visit
Home visits are preferred, since it offers the advantage of practicing feeding your baby in the environment you occupy most, in the comfort of your own home. These visits are not timed, so you can relax and we can focus on the task at hand. I find it advantageous to disregard the time, as newborns are often sleepy and do not feed by the clock!
Lactation-911 offers no time limit, in-home visits with no associated mileage fees to these areas:
Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Scappoose, St Helens, Vancouver, Gresham, Newberg, Milwaukie, Oregon City, Tigard, and Lake Oswego.

Directly across the parking lot from the Greater Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce. Follow their signs and you will also find us.
Please bring anything that you are currently using while feeding your baby including breastfeeding pillow, breast pump, any all nipples that go into the baby’s mouth such a bottles, pacifiers, etc. and your hungry baby!
Breast Pump
There are many situations in which a breast pump may be needed temporarily or long-term. Assistance with, and instruction on how to use you breast pump, fitting you with the best pump for your particular needs, and how to properly express and store your breast milk are also covered in your lactation consultation with Tina.
Rates
Home visits are not timed and are a flat fee of $150.00.
Office visits are timed at the rate of $75.00 per hour, prorated by the quarter hour.
All Lactation Consultations include free phone follow-up!
Tina accepts all major credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, cash or check.
Sliding scale available for those in need.
